1.  T-mould

A 2 + 2-cavity food container and lid T-mould makes the parts in a CAP32 DP machine with a T-mould program. A robot arm was designed to take them out and place them on a conveyor.

2.  T-mould

A cutlery T-mould of 16 soup spoons and 24 knives makes the parts in a CAP48 DP machine with a T-mould program.

A cutlery stack mould of 16 soup spoons and 24 knives makes the parts in an Acc200 machine.

5.  Gefit mould on CAP32 TP

A 32-cavity cap mould provided by Italian mould maker Gefit S.P.A. was tested on CAP32 TP. The cap weighs 1.6 g and has a pilfer-proof ring. Cycle time of 4.4 s has been reached. The two pumps provide dual-pump injection, dual-pump plasticizing and ejection during mould opening, all to reduce cycle time. The hydraulics is semi-closed loop

6.  Xijie mould on CAP48 DP

A 48-cavity cap mould provided by Huang Yan mould maker Xijie was tested on CAP48 DP. Cycle time of slightly over 7 s was reached at exhibition conditions. A better cycle time could be reached in production conditions due to improved mould cooling. The cap has no pilfer-proof ring but cycle time would not have been affected by including it. Without pilfer-proof ring, the mould does not have sliders and is less wide but most importantly the mould has fewer moving parts and is more reliable.

7.  Energy saving on TME110

Servomotor saves even more energy than variable displacement pump. This is especially prominent in thick-wall moulding. The customer makes tooth brushes. Tooth brush handles are thick walled. The servomotor is 11 kW.

8.  Energy saving on TME150

9. Thin-wall moulding

A Nypro 2 + 2-cavity stack mould of a small thin-wall container was tested on Acc200. A cycle time of 3.6 s was reached when the option of plasticizing during mould opening was added.

10.  PP performs

A 32-cavity PP perform mould was used on a PET2100 machine. Two sets are producing preforms to make intravenous injection bottles in Shang Dong.

11.  5-gallon (18.9 litres) bottle performs

5-gallon performs have from 8 to 10 mm wall thickness. To improve the cooling time, highly conductive beryllium copper (BeCu) cores are used. A 2-cavity perform mould could fit on the PET2100-770. Production rate is more than 60 per hour.
